L&S joins the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles Community

#Corporate

We have recently signed the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), a set of 7 Principles offering a guidance to companies on how to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, marketplace, and community.

Led by UN Women and the UN Global Compact, WEPs international community counts more than 5.000 companies in 141 countries, collectively representing more than 10 million employees.
Our adherence to the WEPs strengthens a path that we have already taken to improve our commitment to sustainability: we emphasize equitable treatment, and we ensure a safe space for both men and women employees to be treated fairly.
The Agenda 2030 contains 17 Sustainable Development Goals including, in fact, the theme of gender equality. In this scenario, the seven Principles constitute a unique chance for our corporate implementation of the women’s empowerment dimensions.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are values that we embedded in our organization.

We have embraced the WEPs as milestones guiding our corporate culture and we will translate these principles into tangible results: we will work together, across all Departments and Divisions, to ensure that we foster a truly inclusive, safe, and productive workplace for all our employees.
