At Sicam 2024, we presented ourselves in a completely reimagined form through the technosoft approach, where cutting-edge technology and design blend together to create an environment that reflects our identity and values.
We share the design notes of Rune Ricciardelli, Creative Director of our partner Visual Display: "We took advantage of Sicam 24 to start envisioning a new spatial concept that could accompany the brand in the coming years, enhancing its uniqueness. After the synthesis process we underwent in previous years, we decided to focus on the essence of the brand. L&S is a highly technological company, capable of elaborating and interpreting design trends through its know-how. The result is a 'technosoft' environment balanced between a technological lab, a science museum archive, and a design home. Technical materials like steel and plexiglass contrast with the warmth of wood, fabrics, and natural plaster, accompanying and highlighting the value of light. It is an exhibition space conceived to meticulously describe those technological details that make L&S products unique."
A versatile and dynamic space
The environment presents itself in an essential way, with volumes defined by clean lines and fresh, neutral colors. Luminous surfaces, both vertical and horizontal, along with glossy metal finishes, create a technical yet harmonious setting. To complete this scenario, light wood inserts introduce a warmer, more design-oriented materiality, offering an elegant contrast to the industrial-technological universe, creating a space that coexists in perfect harmony.
Language of light
In this setting, light is showcased in various forms and configurations: warm light, cool light, ambient light, task lighting, focused, diffused, scenic. An expressive palette whose richness is made evident by the value it brings to shapes, spaces, and the objects it serves.
Technical communication
At the center of our stand is the luminous technical counter, emphasizing our expertise and making tangible the technology we present. Surrounded by informative panels, a Solaris product wall, and lightboxes, all these structures alternate, highlighting the forms, spaces, and products on display.
As our communication partner Design Work aptly puts it: "These are the components of the dual nature that constitutes L&S. A dual nature that does not imply contrast or conflict, but coexistence and interdependence; a dual nature made of technology and expressiveness, where each pole finds its purpose in the other, and thanks to know-how and experience, finds its synthesis in the skillful proportion of the parts. A synthesis so balanced it seems natural; a synthesis that can be summed up in two words: Lighting Intelligence."
This is our Lighting Intelligence: a way of conceiving light as a synthesis of technique and expressiveness, designed not only to illuminate spaces but also to enhance the experience of those who inhabit them.
